Low carb beer you can have on the Keto diet.

After a hard day working out in the sun or just laying on the beach soaking up some rays, there is nothing better than a ice cold beer. That is one of the toughest things about the low carb diet…. No Great tasting beer. Well thank goodness some of the brewery’s out there had some pity on for beer lovers like me. They made some low carb beer, well not as great as some of the wonderful craft beer we enjoyed before.  Here is a quick list of some of our favorite substitutes of you full flavoured beer.


Molson 67

While quite light on taste but it makes it up with only 2 grams of carbs. It only has 3%alcohol content and 67 calories, but if you are calorie conscious then Molson 67 might be for you.

Michelob Ultra

It was the first beer that was marketed as a “low carb beer”.  It has a 4.2% alcohol content level, and has only 95 calories per 12 ounce serving with only 2.6 carbs per bottle.  If you typically prefer fruity cocktails Michelob Ultra might be a good choice for you.

Sleeman Clear 2.0

A light beer at 4% alc/vol with a crisp, refreshing taste.  Great for those on the keto diet as it contains only 2g of carbohydrates and 80 calories per 341ml serving. Sleeman Clear 2.0 will pair well with your low carb diet.

Coors Light

Coors light comes in at 102 calories per 12 ounce serving.  But with a 4.2% alcohol content level and only 5 carbs per bottle it is a real winner! It tastes similar to your regular Coors just 2/3 of the calories. And the mountains will turn blue when it is the perfect temperature, how cool is that!

Corona Light

Mmmm….. ice-cold Coronas. You can’t get much more like summer than a bucket of Corona with a slice of lemon or lime. Corona Lite makes the top 5 with a alcohol content of 4.2%,  only 100 calories per bottle and only 5 grams of carbs.

While not your typical full bodied beer. These are a few of the Keto friendly beer that we can enjoy over the summer months. I know everyone has different taste when it comes to beer, but if you have to be on a diet, you should be able to enjoy some of the finer things in life.
